Full Skin Base
The skin base is usually made from materials like polyurethane, which is thin, lightweight, and allows for a natural appearance.
Full Lace Base
The fine mesh of the lace creates a seamless blend with the scalp, giving the illusion that the hair is growing directly from it, and totally breathable.
The most common are French lace and Swiss lace.
French lace is durable and provides a natural look. It's slightly thicker than Swiss lace, making it a bit more robust but still
maintaining a realistic appearance.
Swiss lace , on the other hand, is finer and more delicate, giving an even more natural and undetectable look when applied.
Lace Combined with Skin
This design features a lace front or top, which provides a natural-looking hairline and excellent
breathability, and the skin base adds
durability and a secure attachment method.
The combination of lace and skin allows for a balance between breathabilityand ease of attachment.
Mono Base
"Mono" refers to monofilament, which is a fine, sheer material that mimics the appearance of natural scalp.
One of the key
advantages of mono base designs is their durability. The monofilament material
is sturdy and
can withstand regular wear and
styling.
Mono bases are often used at the crown or the top of the hairpiece, where a natural parting is desired. The
rest of the base
may be constructed from other materials, such as skin or PU.
