At the end of March this year, Lordhair once again had the privilege of attending IBS International Beauty Show, New York City, presented by American Salon. This year’s show took place at the Javits Center, a 4.6 million square foot (1.4 million square meter) convention center located in Manhattan. Hosting a variety of professionals from across the beauty industry. Lordhair took part by showcasing our brand new range of antibacterial products as well as our ever growing salon partnership programme and our social responsibility venture - Little Heroes Hair. This event was another chance for us to achieve our goal to provide healthier choices to customers and ultimately to build a better world.
This blog will summarise all that went on at this year's show but more specifically it will outline what Lordhair got up to over the three days.
What Was IBS NYC 2025?
This year, over 3 days, 30 thousand guests were in attendance. More than 400 exhibits and 200 beauty classes were taught by featured educators. Attendees were given the opportunity to interact and participate in all of this. There were live performances and fashion shows produced with a strong focus on encouraging self-confidence and empowerment. This event was a great opportunity for companies like Lordhair to share their beauty knowledge as well as network with like-minded individuals and explore brand new business opportunities.
What Lordhair Did?
Little Heroes Hair
On day one of IBS NYC 2025, Lordhair officially launched Little Heroes Hair; a Charity Initiative for Children with Hair Loss. Providing free of charge wigs to anyone under the age of 18 suffering from medical hair loss. Lordhair stands as a beacon of hope, offering support and empowerment to young warriors. Pilar, one of our marketing specialists, presented the heartwarming mission of Little Heroes' Hair conveying how it is making a profound impact on the lives of children facing medical hair loss by providing hair systems free of charge. The long-term aim has always been to make a positive difference in the lives of these children and their families by offering practical support as well as emotional encouragement. In addition to providing these wigs, Lordhair also works with experts such as trichologists, dermatologists and pediatricians to research childhood hair loss with the hope to one day eradicate this complication.
It was truly amazing to see the dozens of customers who impulsively donated not only funds but their own virgin hair towards this great cause. 100% of the funds raised will be used to continue and further develop the charity. These customers were provided with free t-shirts and wristbands with our details on, as a thank you, all in the hope more people will see and hear about the organisation and the great work we have already achieved.
Attendees were also encouraged to take pictures with our ‘Angel Wall’ and post to their own social media accounts using #LittleHeroesHair to help us raise awareness.

Salons Project
Luci, head of our UK team, was on hand throughout the event spreading awareness about our salons project, of which there are 2 parts: Salons We Work With & Salon Training Course.
- Salons We Work With:
The first part of the Lordhair’s salon project is the partnering of a large number of salons across the world. These salons have experience working with hair systems. It’s great for them as we recommend their services to our customers and great for us as this really helps our less confident customers achieve their hair goals without having to do anything themselves at home. Our aim in 2025 is to increase the number of salons we work with; IBS NYC was an important chance to advertise this partnership with prospective salons in America.
- Salon Training Series
IBS NYC also gave us the opportunity to showcase our brand new 8 part training series made specifically for salons who are interested in offering hair system services. The full course is now available for purchase through the website.
From consultation and customisation to application, maintenance, and styling. By the end of the training series salon owners and stylists will have learnt everything needed to transform clients lives.
Here is a breakdown of the series:
- Episode 1: An overview of what each episode of this course will include.
- Episode 2: Base Materials & Knotting Methods, Choosing the right hair system & Stock vs. Custom hair systems: which to order.
- Episode 3: How to create a base template & How to take hair samples,
- Episode 4: Website navigation, Placing a custom order & When to reorder
- Episode 5: Prepping the hair system and client’s head, Fitting the hair system & Cutting and styling hair systems
- Episode 6: Rebooking maintenance appointments, Removing & cleaning the hair system & Prepping for refitting,
- Episode 7: Teaching clients to care for their hair system, Maintaining the hair system & Activities clients can enjoy in a hair system
- Episode 8: Perfecting your hair system techniques, Continuous learning & support opportunities & Lordhair’s ongoing customer assistance information
It was a great pleasure meeting both existing salon partners as well as prospective new partners this year in New York. We had a lot of new salons sign up and we hope to be able to share these with you in due course!

Performances
Another part of Lordhair’s visit to IBS was the interactive demonstrations that took place across the 3 days. Customer experience was maxed out as they were given the opportunity to gain primary exposure to hair system options and the resources available by watching and participating in on-stage performances.
Igor, one of our salon partners based in Long Island, New York, hosted a demonstration in which he transformed one of our customers.
This included:
- Prepping the Hairpiece Beforehand (choosing the correct piece, washing + cutting base to the correct size)
- Prepping Customer (shaving and cleaning his head)
- Adhesive (teaching correct tape placement)
- Styling + Cutting (once hair system had been applied)
Attendees gathered to watch and ask our host questions throughout this process.
One of our dashing models used live was Emil, an existing customer who had started his hair system journey with Lordhair by booking an online consultation. He said “I’d like to thank you all for being so kind and informative when we spoke on camera online”
If you are interested in hair systems but need some more information before purchasing; maybe an online consultation would be best for you. You can view the availability and book an appointment here: https://www.lordhair.com/online-hair-system-consultation
Our professional team of expert hairdressers created personalised styles for visitors to the booth using our new ZyroSen range (keep reading for further information about these new products). 80 distinct hair styles were created over the 3 days. More than 100 visitors were able to experience hair systems in action. Many proceeded to purchase there and then so they left the event with their very own ‘new hair’.
These live performances were a great opportunity for Lordhair to demonstrate the effectiveness of hair systems and for customers to see in real time how quick and easy the products are to use. The outcome was a great success, customers commended the event noting that their desire to purchase had greatly increased.
Showcasing Our Products
One of our customer service specialists, Annie, provided a unique look into the world of non-surgical hair replacement options by exhibiting our range of products and services; all of which were available for purchase on the day. Her role was to introduce newbies to the products as well as help experienced wearers achieve their perfect look.
Lordhair’s product stall had a main focus on our newest range - ZyroSen. Antimicrobial hair systems that demonstrate a 99.9% reduction in bacteria commonly found on the scalp, helping the wearer achieve zero sensitivity. The base material goes through an advanced silver ion antibacterial treatment process meeting top-tier international standards for antibacterial effectiveness to achieve ultimate hygiene as well as long lasting protection. This treatment process also results in the systems maintaining their pristine condition for longer; making the upkeep and management easier and quicker for the wearer.
The audience in attendance praised the natural texture and breathability of these products. Our professional hairstylist even stated 'This may be a standard feature of future salons'.
