In some ways, maintenance for synthetic hair is similar to maintenance for natural human hair. You can wash it with shampoo and conditioner and brush it. However, there are still a few things you should avoid to increase the lifespan of the synthetic hair.
*Avoid Brushing with Great Strength
Brush synthetic hair with a wide-tooth comb. If the hair tangles, detangle the hair from the tip gently. Avoid using great strength to comb the hair; otherwise the hair may become curly like Afro hair.
*Avoid Scrubbing When Washing
When you wash the hair or wear the hair while showering, do not scrub the hair. Instead, squeeze the hair when you apply shampoo and conditioner. Also remember, do not use hot water to wash synthetic hair, always use cold or lukewarm water.
*Avoid Blow Drying
After washing, shake the synthetic hair system a few times to get rid of excess water. Then put the synthetic hair system on a wig stand for a natural dry. Blow drying can make the synthetic hair loose the beautiful waves and curls. High temperature blow drying may also damage the synthetic fiber.
*Use Leave-in Conditioner
Oily leave-in conditioner makes the synthetic hair sleek and easy to comb.
With the right care, synthetic hair can last for a long time and no one will be able to tell that your synthetic hair isn't real.
